Web Design Costs and General Price List

Drawing up a draft price for a client is always stressful and hard work. On this page you will find a rough list of how much things will cost. Obviously the costs of projects will vary. Bigger and more complicated projects will be more expensive and have a higher price.


Basic Package

I offer a basic package for small businesses or self employed people.
This package is ideal if you are looking to get yourself online and to show people where you are.
This package includes:

  • Four basic pages including a home page and three others of your choice
  • Site URL's will be given to all major search engines
  • This package will take approx 1-2 weeks to complete
  • This package will be charged from £200 for the four pages and URL submission
  • Additional pages can be added from £25 per page

All data must be given in a formatted text document and images in a presentable state, failure to do this will incur an addition charge.
The data input option is not available for this option.


Corporate Package

I offer a corporate package for upcoming businesses and medium to large companies.
This package includes:

  • Your preferred page layout according to 'good site structure'
  • Four to eight pages of content, including a home, contact and privacy policy page
  • All pages will be coded for search engine optimization
  • Site URL's will be given to all major search engines
  • A content management system for easy to use updating**
  • This project will take approx 2-4 weeks to complete
  • This package will be charged from £450
  • Additional pages can be added from £40 per page

This package is available for the data input.
**Content management system is a basic image and text updater, if a more advance system is required the package cost will increase accordingly


E-Commerce Packages

I offer a a wide range of E-commerce packages for businesses looking to jump into the 21th century.

E-commerce Package One

  • Secure Sockets Layer space on your hosted server for taking payments
  • A content management system for updating products/pages
  • A fully function order processing page, where you can view placed/sent/pending orders
  • A full text search facility for easy product location
  • All pages will be coded for search engine optimization
  • Site URL's will be given to all major search engines
  • This package comes with 20 pages including a home, contact, privacy policy and terms and condition page
  • The time line on this project will be varied depending on the length and complexity of the project
  • This package will be charged from £3650

Other Charges and Information

There are some charges that vary and will be added if the circumstance should arise.
You will find a list of them below as well as a list of addition services I offer.


Data Input

Data input is particularly useful for big companies that have a large product catalogue, or smaller companies that don't have the time to add their own content.

The data input charge is only for sites that have a large amount of content on their pages.
For example a product catalogue will not only need a title and an image but also a description and other useful information, this will incur the data input charge as there is a lot of information to be manually added to the page.
There will also be a charge if no formatted text or graphics are given and I have to transfer them from a paper/unrefined source to the site.
The data input charge will vary according to the amount of data.

If you have a small site and provide formatted text that is ready to be imputed with clear and useful graphics then there should be no data input charge.


Providing Content

All content should be provided upon agree to work. Failure to provide content within a reasonable amount of time (1-2 weeks after agreement) will result in the price of the project being increased by 10%.
The reason for this is that I am a single person offering a service if I am waiting on you to provide content I am not receiving any other jobs/income.


Deadlines

If a certain project needs to be completed by a short deadlines then the overall price will increase.
This is because I will have to spend more time your the project than anything else.


Payment

Payments will be done in 2-3 stages, a 15% instalment will be required on agreement to work.
If it is a short project then the other 85% will be required on the finished date.
If it is a long project (over one month) then I require 20% of the total charge halfway through the project and the final 65% on the finished date.


Domain Name Registration

I can search for and find you the best/most relevant domain name there is.
Most domain names will be from £5-£10 every year or two.
I charge a fee of £15 to search for and register a domain name.


Search engine optimisation

I can optimize an existing sites code so that the popular search engines will pick it up more.
For this I will need access to your scripted pages so I can edit them.
The charge will vary for search engine optimisation.

Site Maintenance

I offer to maintain existing web sites.
For this I will need the content to be updated in a pre formatted state, preferably a text document and access to your scripted page.
The charge will vary for site maintenance.

Web Hosting

I can search for and find the best place for you web site to be hosted. Most hosting servers cost £5-£50 per month. I can set up and register you for hosting as well as upload any existing files not coded by me.
